Caldwell Heights Elementary School

This new 85,000sf elementary school is home to 1,000 students. Visitors enter the building greeted by the administration area to provide direction as well as security for students and staff. The library is the hub of the campus. A closed courtyard connects the library to each classroom wing. Each floor has a centrally located computer lab to enhance learning. Well-planned accommodations connect the gymnasium and cafeteria with an acoustically designed electronically controlled moveable partition to facilitate large assemblies. Two separate covered entrances permit ease of student drop-off with car riders entering at the rear or the school and bus traffic entering at the main entrance. Special education classrooms are located within the classroom wing to allow these special needs students to be an integral part of the school atmosphere.
