Hopewell Middle School

Hopewell Middle School is designed and constructed to take RRISD students well into the 21st century. The school was built with funds from a 1994 bond issue and was a fast tracked project from the beginning in order to open its doors for students by the fall of 1996. Hopewell MS was designed for 1,000 students in classrooms with a core facility of 1,000 students. Certain areas that may be used by the public after hours have been located in such a fashion as to facilitate the closing off of the main portion of the school during such activities. Communications, TV, and fire alarm systems have been extended into a designated room for easy continuance to the portable classrooms.
