One of the newest fire stations for Travis County ESD #6 in the City of Lakeway, station 601 serves constituents with a PEMB constructed, three (3) part apparatus bay with wood stud framed living quarters for the fire fighters. The 520 series aluminum sectional doors, the bare galvalume metal roof, and the slate gray wall panels merge aesthetics, functionality, and performance to provide a streamline appeal.

Giving attention and consciousness to energy efficiency and low operating costs, low e-glazing was installed along with native Texas plants for natural landscaping. To treat the redeveloped area, the site is equipped with a new Water Quality Pond.

Six (6) dorm rooms, a spacious, fully equipped kitchen and dining room, a day room, weight room, turn out area, study, and a welcoming lobby to greet the visiting public adorn the home away from home interior.
