Calvary Chapel Austin

Once an Albertson’s grocery store, this former retail center is now home to Calvary Chapel, a nondenominational church located in Pflugerville, Texas. A 56,000 sf tilt-wall shell now serves as a place of worship for approximately 1,000 in Sunday attendance. Many challenges were addressed on this exciting project. Programming around existing plumbing and steel supports demanded creativity in layout. Care had to be taken to continue to meet code and provide egress while meeting the needs of the church family. Changing the façade to announce the presence of new owner’s was also an important aspect of the project.
