The Station was designed to be their prototype fire station with Three Drive Thru  – 75 foot deep Apparatus Bays.  Outward bi-folding doors are on each side of the Apparatus Bay allowing for quick exiting.  Living Quarters are laid out for individual fire fighters.  The Kitchen Area is combined with the Day Room with individual shift pantries.  Commercial Cooking Equipment with a fire protection hood are a central design of the Kitchen Area.  Watch Room has visibility of both the Apparatus Bay and the Main Entry.  Mechanical Equipment is located on a Mezzanine above the Day Room/Kitchen.  A small Training Room is located above Storage/Workout Rooms adjacent to the Apparatus Bay.  This space is used for training of repelling from the second floor training room.  The room is laid out with exposed wood studs that the fire fighters can add gypsum board to so they can train on gaining entry into spaces.  The Fire Station is equipped with a rain water harvesting system  for use on the landscaped areas around the station.  Photovoltaic panels are located on the roof to help minimize the carbon footprint of the station.  Floor drains are located under each Apparatus to help minimize water collection on the Apparatus Bay floors.  Exterior of the building is comprised of a Standing Seam Metal Roof, Split-Face CMU and Stucco.
